Skin whitening 101

Hello Lovelies,
Iv been receiving alot of requests to do a post on skin whitening but it's a very broad subject that needs a lot of explaining.so instead of one post I'll do several just to get d message across.

First of all the Negro skin is tailored to suit it's environment.our climate is harsh and our sun isn't so friendly especially during the dry season.
What makes 'black' skin black?the answer to that is melanin.melanin is produced by our  skin to protect us from the uv rays of the sun.the melanin secretion varies from person to person as determined by our genes.
The reason we get darker when we stay under the sun longer than usual is because our skin produces more melanin to protect us then.so we end up getting a "tan"
So the big question is this why would yu want to kill what protects you from having skin cancer as a result of the uv from our sun?
It should also be noted that one can get lighter significantly lighter by just avoiding the sun. Buy an umbrella, stay indoors. It's sure to help,me
Whitening your skin comes with risks but if you are willing to take them you should know this.

1.Quick action creams and soaps are not a good idea.u don't want to deal with hyperpigmentation.this is when u ll end up having a combo of coke and Fanta on your skin.lol

2 hydroquinone. Weather they tell u or not alot of skin whitening products contain hydroquinone, what u should do is to make sure it is not above 2%. It's harmful to your skin above that level

3.DO NOT UNDER ENY CIRCUMSTANCE TONE UNDER THE SUN. Whitening creams are better used in the night because the uv rays hit your skin and u are in the process of eliminating the melanin...well that's not just good.

4. If you are going to tone then buy quality creams and soaps to do so.ill try to do some research and give u some names of d best in d market to buy.

5.Good and even toning takes time and other factors aside from just using the lotion or soap.getting toned in 7 days may not be a very good idea.so take your time Lovelies

In my next post I'll expanciate on this topic further.
Hope this post was helpful?
